You're really fantastic with colors. I love how you used complimentary colors in this. I can picture this on a wall with some jazz music playing in a cafe somewhere. Great work.

I enjoy this mug, its really chunky. I Like what you did with the shadow. That stormy looking sky, and the ripples on the liquid in the mug give it sense of impending doom. Or something.

This is a really nice use of lino. What are the dimensions?
I'm not much for relief printing, I like to stick to intaglio. Check out my gallery if you get a chance.

thank you! i'm very proud of it. i really like your description of it, also. you make it sound more interesting than i could!

Thanks. It's 12 x 12 inches.

Oh, nice. I love the uneasy colors.

Did you use some kind of alignment press for this? I'm kind of amazed those tiny white accents survived four colors.

let me see if i can explain this in a way another human would understand...

get a 3-hole punch, you know for puttin paper in a 3 ring binder.
punch 3 holes in your art paper at the top.
you'll need three pins that stick out at the top of a board that the paper will fit over. you can register this way. super easy.
oh yeah, and i pressed it by hand with a big wooden spoon.

if you want pics or diagram, i'll upload later.
good luck!
:iconbagshotrow:
oh ho, that's a pretty swingin' idea. I'm gonna have to try that.

So the pegs are set into the block itself?

oh no no no.

the pegs are set into a board (plywood) and then you put your lino on the board, then your paper over the pegs, and presto. but you'll need some guides to keep the block in the same place every time, too. some matboard strips or something glued down to the top and left sides.
